This session will strive to mix an overview of how social media interaction stands in 2019 with practical tips on how to use it effectively. We’ll discuss how platforms such as Facebook, Google and Twitter data is gathered and used by marketers and governments, and the resulting legal ethical implications for professional use in education.  We will also cover some methods for understanding what information you are making available online (it is probably much more than you think), and how to exert more control of your digital identity.
